Commission : View of San Gimignano over Tuscany Landscape

This painting was commissioned as a wedding gift. It was painted from a honeymoon photograph of San Gimignano is an Italian hill town in Tuscany, southwest of Florence. 

I worked very closely with the client to understand the brief exactly and how the finished painting should look. As this was an excellent photo to start with due to the colouring and exceptional composition, so it was a pleasure to paint. 

The client and couple were delighted with the final piece and it has been displayed proudly in their home since.
